Muscle Scraping

Muscle scraping promotes better blood flow and nutrient uptake, which may support faster healing and healthy formation of scar tissue. Muscle scraping can remove bothersome or painful muscle adhesions. Muscle scraping has been shown to improve range of motion.

Hot Stones

Add a hot stone to your treatment to melt away muscle tension allowing for a deeper massage and more profound relaxation. Hot stones are particularly beneficial in relieving tight muscles, pain and soreness. Not all Providers may be available to offer this add-on.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a technique that focuses on specific pressure points to help correct energy flows throughout your body. This technique uses finger pressure applied to reflexes of feet and hands with the goal of restoring the body to balance and treating specific conditions including, neck/shoulder/low back pain, digestional problems, sciatica, thyroid & adrenal issues, etc. This may not be an available service for all Providers.

Warm Towels

Enrich your experience. Add a moist warm towel treatment immediately after each body area is worked on. Best included with an aromatherapy upgrade and a at least a 75-minute massage treatment.

Moist Heat Packs

Let us enhance your experience with MotherEarth© Pillows. This healthy alternative to that old heating pad, always feels great! Filled with golden flax it produces a moist heat that is great for any body area including the back, neck, gluteus, or legs. Relieves pain from injury, strain, arthritis & cramping.

Kinesiotaping

Rock Tape creates a bio-mechanical lifting mechanism that lifts the skin away from the soft tissue underneath, which allows more blood to move into an injured area to accelerate healing and recovery. Fabric consists of cotton, nylon and uses no drugs. Adhesive is a hypo-allergenic acrylic based adhesive and contains no latex. When applied over a stretched muscle, RockTape lifts the skin, accelerating blood flow to increase the amount of oxygen available to the muscles, which reduces fatigue. RockTape also promotes lymph drainage. These combined effects are powerful: they allow the athlete to go harder for longer periods of time. Unlike compressions garments, RockTape can be applied to very specific areas of the body that are sometimes hard to reach, such as shoulders, knees, and joints. Only Terry and Olivia in our North Syracuse Clinic are Providers who are able to perform this treatment.

Theragun

Described by its designers as “the future of muscle relief,” the TheraGun is a handheld, battery-operated percussive therapy device. This updated model is specifically designed to generate rapid muscle activation and recovery. The TheraGun’s percussive therapy can help reduce common muscle and joint pain, relieve spasms, release knots, break up scar tissue, and improve overall mobility / range of motion. This may not be an available service for all Providers.

Cupping

Add this ancient chinese technique which utilizes suction to increase circulation, break down muscle adhesions and increase range of motion. This may not be an available service for all Providers.

Aromatherapy

Add your choice of Essential Oils from Saratoga Aromatherapy to your customize and enrich your massage experience. Oil can be diffused and/or added to the massage oil during your massage.
