Kyle Hierholzer is the owner/operator of Hand in Health Massage Therapy. He graduated in June 2011 as Valedictorian of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse, NY. After receiving his NYS licensure, he also attended the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences and obtained his certification in Hospital Based Massage. Kyle specializes in chronic and acute pain care management and has received specialized training in various modalities including orthopedic massage, sports massage, oncology, medical massage, craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, medical cupping, and reflexology.

In 2016, he also obtained his certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Kyle specializes in assisting with injury rehabilitation, strength training, and health coaching. He enjoys using both massage and fitness to help people attain their wellness goals by designing a customized exercise and bodywork program tailored to each person’s needs.

Kyle also volunteers on the Board of Directors for the American Massage Therapy Association’s New York Chapter (AMTA-NY) and provides support, continuing education opportunities and career assistance to over 6000 therapists throughout NY state.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his black lab Jozie.

Terry Taylor graduated from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse, NY, as a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2017. She has also completed her Personal Trainer, Mixed Martial Arts, and Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Terry enjoys combining her knowledge as a Massage Therapist and Fitness Professional to take a balanced and holistic approach to healing. She has received additional education and is proficient in medical cupping, kinesiotaping, veteran’s massage, active assisted stretching, deep tissue massage, sports massage, myofascial release, prenatal massage, and relaxation techniques. As a Syracuse native, Terry has been able to assist athletes at various events in the community including the Mountain Goat Run and the Syracuse Ironman.

Jason Kelly is a 2007 graduate from the Onondaga School of Massage Therapy in Syracuse, NY. He practices the healing art of massage with an integrative approach. Along with massage therapy, he has over 20 years of experience studying Budo Taijutsu style martial arts. Jason’s combined knowledge of massage therapy and martial arts has made him understand and incorporate the importance of maintaining range of motion and structural stability for longevity. Jason has the ability to relieve pain and prolong the health benefits of massage while keeping clients functioning at their optimal performance level. Ariane is the 2013 Salutatorian graduate of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse, NY. Her familiarity with a wide range of massage techniques include deep tissue therapies, trigger point work, myofascial release, and joint manipulation.

Ariane is an enthusiastic learner who continues to deepen her knowledge of massage therapy by pursuing continuing education classes such as various stretching techniques and Lomi Lomi (Hawaiian Massage). She specializes in massage with the intention of correcting postural deviations, resolving chronic pain and recovering from injuries. Before becoming a Massage Therapist, Olivia graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology. She spent over a year using her degree as a Personal Trainer to help her clients reach their fitness goal while improving themselves mentally and physically. While being a Personal Trainer was a rewarding and informative experience, Olivia discovered a passion for more clinical, hands-on work. This led her to enhance her career by pursuing Massage Therapy.

Olivia graduated Salutatorian in 2018 from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse, NY. Her previous education in Kinesiology and experience as a Personal Trainer gives Olivia a more orthopedic/medical approach to her massage techniques. Phillip Napoli was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science in 2010 from the University at Buffalo. After spending eight years in the fitness and fitness management industry, Phillip decided to take a more “hands on” healing approach and completed the Licensed Massage Therapy program at the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Syracuse, NY.

Phillip has a diverse background in personal training, sports, athletics, calisthenics, and resistance training. His aim is to help the body have a good relationship with gravity by using a combination of massage therapy and physical re-education that allows his clients to move as efficiently as possible by incorporating a mind-body-spirit connection.

Phillip works tirelessly for his clients to help alleviate pain and tension or destress and decompress. Dr. Stacy Carter DC

Dr. Stacy Carter is a Syracuse native. She graduated from LeMoyne College in 2008 and went on to complete her studies at the New York Chiropractic College. In addition to her chiropractic license, she holds a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition.

Dr. Carter has had the opportunity to work in various clinical settings, most recently working with a team of chiropractors providing care for those in the Syracuse and surrounding areas. Prior to returning to Syracuse in 2016, Dr. Carter worked at Bassett Army Community Hospital at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, where she worked collaboratively in the rehabilitation of our active duty and retired military. Also credentialed through the hospital as a Red Cross Volunteer, Dr. Carter provided chiropractic care to active duty military. Dr. Carter served as the Clinic Director of a multi-specialty chronic pain clinic, the Northwest Pain Relief Center, in Fairbanks, AK, while her husband, Richard, proudly served our country as a U.S. Army Soldier.

As someone who has personally struggled with severe anxiety and back pain, Jeremy found refuge in the world of fitness and holistic health. With daily exercise and relaxation practices, he discovered a passion and desire to help others find relief through the healing power of therapeutic massage. After graduating from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in December 2014, he has provided therapeutic massage in team-based environments such as chiropractic offices and holistic healing centers. In addition, Jeremy obtained his certification in Personal Training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2019, and his certification as a Yoga Instructor in 2020.

Jeremy utilizes an integrated approach with modalities such as Swedish (relaxation massage), deep tissue massage, Reiki, trigger point therapy, sports and orthopedic massage. He has assisted clients with chronic pain and injuries related to motor vehicle accidents and workers’ compensation injuries. He is dedicated to reducing stress, easing tension and restoring balance to the body while assisting everyone in a calm, compassionate and professional manner. In his spare time Jeremy likes to explore movement, nature, meditation, and spend time with his loved ones.

Renee holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services from Cazenovia College. Renee continued her education and graduated Salutatorian from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in December 2010 and was licensed shortly thereafter in February 2011. She utilizes an integrated approach to assist clients with their bodywork goals by incorporating relaxing Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, and stretching techniques. Renee has also completed the course requirements for her Veterans Massage Certification and recently began additional education in Cupping Therapies. Renee is interested in furthering her education in manual lymphatic drainage techniques in the near future.

Renee practices massage part-time while working full-time assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Renee strives to provide a calm and therapeutic environment for her patients in order to provide stress relief, relaxation, and assist with pain management.

She is also proficient in other massage modalities such as pregnancy, active assisted stretching, trigger point work, reflexology, and medical cupping.

Before pursuing massage therapy, Katy obtained her Bachelor’s in Wellness Management from SUNY Oswego. In 2017, she also graduated from the Kripalu School of Yoga and that is where she discovered the joy of helping others live their lives fully through the freedom of movement. Her yoga classes focus on function over form (traditional yoga) that help her students strengthen their bodies and help relieve chronic pain.

Heather is a 2015 graduate from the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage, where she is currently on staff as an Instructor. Heather is a Certified Traditional Usi Reiki Master Teacher. She obtained her Master Teacher level in 2006. Heather’s style of massage is a deep relaxing feeling of peace, serenity, warmth, revitalization, and a general sense of well-being. A bodyworker for over 18 years, Heather enjoys giving both Swedish and therapeutic massage treatments. She is also proficient in several other modalities such as pregnancy, medical cupping, reflexology, trigger point work, and active assisted stretching.

Born and raised in Cicero, Heather obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from LeMoyne College. After a decade of managing group homes for the developmentally disabled, Heather decided to focus her energy, passion, and purpose on helping others heal at all levels including mind, body, and spirit.

Traditional Usi Reiki originated from Japan. It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is based on the idea that unseen life force energy flows through us and it is what causes us to live. Reiki enhances the natural flow of this life energy to promote health and healing at all levels including mind, body, and spirit.

Heather offers a Reiki Massage that incorporates hands on healing by placing her hands on or over the seven main energy centers of your body, also known as chakras. The Reiki healing may be added onto the massage so focus can be directed to these energy centers or the Reiki may be a part of the whole massage as the energy flows from Heather’s hands throughout the treatment. Heather will spend a few minutes with you prior to your treatment to ensure your session best fits your personal needs at the time.
