Have you decided to make massage therapy part of your self-care journey? Has your doctor recommended massage therapy to help you heal from an injury or chronic pain?
Choosing an affordable massage membership or package is key. After all, massage therapy is an investment of time and money. Nobody wants to spend their entire session worrying about expenses when they should be relaxing and restoring their mind, body, and spirit.
So, to better manage costs and ensure you’re meeting your goals, should you opt for a membership or package through a massage franchise or a privately-owned wellness center?
Hand In Health is here to breakdown our massage memberships and packages and explore how massage franchises measure up in comparison. If you’re ready to begin working with a massage therapist in the Central New York region, contact our wellness centers in Downtown Syracuse or North Syracuse.
Franchises Rarely Offer 90-Minute Massages
The effects of massage therapy are cumulative over time. Just like you wouldn’t experience weight loss or muscle gain after one workout, you wouldn’t experience the long-term benefits of massage after one session, either.
A 60-minute session once a month is great for decompressing or addressing areas of mild soreness and tightness. But when it comes to achieving long-term recovery from injuries, chronic pain, or severe stress, 90-minute massages almost always yield the best results.
Should you opt for a monthly 60-minute massage with a franchise, keep in mind that they may only deliver around 45 to 50 minutes of actual bodywork. This is often the result of their back-to-back scheduling practices.
Hand In Health offers both a 60-minute or 90-minute monthly massage membership as advertised. So, whether you’re looking to treat yourself once a month to an hour of relaxation, or if you require extra time, care, and attention to your health and wellness needs, we provide the flexibility of shorter and longer sessions ‒ always for a full 60 or 90 minutes.
Franchises Rarely Offer Massage Packages, Too
What if you’re recovering from an injury or struggle with chronic pain or a condition like sciatica or arthritis? Will a 90-minute massage once a month help?
Consistency is key, and that’s why Hand In Health offers a selection of massage packages designed to help those with specific, long-term health and wellness needs.
By purchasing these massage sessions in bulk, you decide when and how frequently you’ll go. Plus, your massage therapist will know which areas to work on to continually improve and achieve the best results.
What’s another benefit to our memberships? For starters, we don’t do long-term contracts. Our members are only required to commit to three months of massages; and at any point, they can put their membership on hold or cancel without penalty.
Need to see a massage therapist ASAP? We understand that surprise muscle tightness and soreness can strike when you least expect it. Because we are one of few massage practices to offer online booking, our patients have access to all the therapists’ availability and schedules at their convenience. So, whenever you need a massage, we have a therapist to accommodate you.
Does Hand In Health Offer Spa Services?
In addition to massages, many franchises offer facials and spa services. Here at Hand In Health, we’re focused on helping every individual achieve complete health and wellness, and spa services are not part of our approach.
That’s not to say there’s something wrong with complementing massage therapy with facials and spa services. Everyone’s wellness journey is unique, and a rejuvenating, spa-like experience may be exactly what your mind, body, and spirit needs.
But for those who are looking to make a transformative difference to their physical and emotional well-being, Hand In Health takes a different, more clinical approach. We offer medical massages and a wider variety of massage techniques, in addition to traditional therapeutic massages ‒ always personalized to the individual’s health and wellness needs.
Hand In Health IS a Wellness Center
What does self-care mean to you?
If you want your self-care journey to transform how you feel from the inside out, combining massage therapy with yoga or fitness, acupuncture, and other wellness services can do wonders for your physical and mental well-being.
As a wellness center, Hand In Health is all-encompassing and holistic in helping our clients feel and be their best by providing a variety of fitness and bodywork services in addition to massage therapy. Few massage franchises integrate fitness and bodywork ‒ just as few gyms incorporate massage therapy.
With a Hand In Health monthly membership, you’ll not only receive a 60 or 90-minute massage. You’ll also save 20% on additional services, such as acupuncture, personal fitness training, yoga, and more (with a limit of three additional services per month!)
We also offer fitness packages for those who wish to work with a personal trainer. Many of our fitness trainers are also Licensed Massage Therapists. This means they can work closely with you to improve your musculoskeletal health over time through massage therapy and fitness.
If getting in shape, improving your flexibility, relieving chronic pain, or enhancing your cardiovascular health are things you want to integrate in your wellness journey, you can save more money with a Hand In Health membership as opposed to paying separately for fitness classes, a gym membership, acupuncture, AND massage therapy.
What Else Can You Find at Hand In Health?
Additionally, you can receive $5 off massage add-ons like aromatherapy, theragun, cupping, and Kinesio taping. That way, you can personalize your massage and address your needs on any given day, guilt-free.
Can’t attend your monthly massage? You can share it with another family member or rollover your unused session.
Need to stock up on products for your self-care regimen, or looking to share the gift of wellness with someone special? Hand In Health members can also receive 10% off retail items and $10 off gift certificates.
Hand In Health vs. Massage Franchises: Which is Right for You?
As you embark on your journey to a new, improved, and healthier YOU, you’ll continually discover, pick, and choose which types of massage and self-care practices work best for you. Because what works for you now may not work for you in the future.
But your journey begins with a first step, and if you’re looking to transform your physical health as much as your emotional and spiritual, Hand In Health is ready to help.
